Focusing on the theme ‘Radiology Driving Innovation’, the conference will bring together leading international experts to share best practice and discuss the latest state-of-the-art developments in radiology – and its positive impact on oncology.

The wide range of workshops, educational sessions and lectures from global clinical experts will enhance your professional development and make it a truly memorable event.

About the RCR

The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is a charity that works with our members to improve the standard of medical practice across the fields of radiology and oncology. With faculties in two disciplines, the RCR and our members benefit from a fuller understanding of medical practice, across the spectrum of diagnosis and treatment.

We collaborate impartially with our members and external parties from across the medical industry, refining the latest research and guidelines into relevant applications for radiologists and oncologists. This work can be carried out efficiently because resources and processes are shared across our two faculties.

This enables us to educate and support doctors effectively throughout their career, providing practical guidance, training and assessment. In turn, input from our members, through academic contributions, professional consultation and mentorship, drives the RCR forward.

About the RSE

The Radiology Society of the Emirates (RSE) has been an integral part of the healthcare landscape since its inception alongside the establishment of the Emirates Medical Association (EMA). Originally known as the Emirates Radiology Society, it underwent a transformative shift in 2014, rebranding itself as the Radiology Society of the Emirates (RSE) to carve out a distinct identity within the medical community.

Since its inception, the RSE has been steadfast in its commitment to understanding and meeting the evolving needs of the radiological community in the Emirates. The society’s annual meetings serve as a testament to this dedication, as it consistently strives to address the pressing issues facing the field. Over the years, the RSE has forged meaningful collaborations with renowned international bodies, including the European Society of Radiology (ESR), RSNA, ACR, KSR, RSSA, and the Egyptian Society of Radiology.

In the pursuit of global excellence, the RSE is proud to announce its latest collaboration with the esteemed Royal College of Radiologists in London, a partnership that underscores the society’s commitment to delivering world-class advancements in radiology.

Beyond its annual meetings, the RSE actively collaborates with sister societies in the UAE, offering support for their events when needed, and extends its cooperative efforts to organisations such as PAIRS. Recognising the importance of industry collaboration, the society has strategically aligned itself with major industry providers in the country, ensuring the seamless delivery of continuous medical education in radiology to a diverse audience.

From its early beginnings to its current standing, the Radiology Society of the Emirates remains dedicated to advancing the field, fostering international collaborations, and providing valuable support to the radiological community in the UAE.

About the scientific programme

Following from the huge success of our first Global Congress in 2022, we’re very excited to announce that we are holding a second RCR Global Radiology Conference in Dubai, in April 2024.

Radiological advances are transforming healthcare, and diagnostic imaging has never been more critical to health systems or patient outcomes.

The event will be delivered in partnership with ‘The Radiology Society of the Emirates’ (RSE) and in collaboration with ‘Pan Arab Association of Radiological Societies’ (PAARS).

Working with our partners, the 2nd RCR Global Radiology Conference in Dubai will bring together a programme of lectures, interactive sessions, lectures, parallel streams and dedicated workshops, delivered by an international faculty, including:

  • Modern imaging pathways in oncology
  • Cancer diagnosis with clinical and pathological correlation
  • Staging, follow-up and surveillance pathways
  • Functional cancer imaging and biomarkers
  • AI in oncology imaging

With sessions dedicated to the setting up cancer imaging services:

  • National screening programmes
  • Examples and the importance of MDT work
  • Advances in functional cancer imaging
  • Global initiatives in cancer imaging and treatment - the similarities and differences of imaging services worldwide.

The conference is an important step towards the RCR providing more support for doctors and institutions across the world, with greater cooperation and access to RCR’s world-class education and training expertise.

And of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to network at our social events in the beautiful city of Dubai.
